Meet Vanessa and Rick Alvarez: Kingdom Leaders on a Mission
Vanessa Alvarez
Vanessa Alvarez is a bridge builder, Kingdom visionary, and servant-leader whose life reflects the redemptive power of Jesus Christ. Marked by a powerful testimony of redemption—from teen motherhood to global ministry—Vanessa carries a deep passion for deliverance, inner healing, and spiritual warfare. She partners with the Holy Spirit to expose strongholds, break generational curses, and help others walk in true freedom through biblical truth and prayerful discernment.
An ordained pastor and seasoned communicator, Vanessa has served in diverse ministry roles for over two decades. She currently leads as the Pastor of Amazing Church Michigan, where she provides spiritual oversight, discipleship, worship leadership, and community engagement. Her pastoral heart, prophetic insight, and ability to connect across generations have made her a trusted voice in both the local church and global faith communities.
As the founder of a Christ-centered coaching and mentorship ministry, Vanessa serves those hungry for breakthrough. Whether through deliverance prayer, discipleship counseling, marriage mentoring, or leadership development, she helps others recognize spiritual strongholds, uproot lies, and walk boldly in truth. Her passion for spiritual warfare and inner healing flows from a deep well of compassion, biblical conviction, and Holy Spirit power.
Vanessa and her husband, Ricardo, have been married for over 23 years. Together, they carry a mantle for marriage mentoring, generational healing, and expanding the Kingdom of God beyond church walls. They are proud parents and grandparents who continue to lead as an example of God’s faithfulness through every season.
Whether preaching the Word, coaching, or ministering through worship, Vanessa lives to see others walk in freedom, boldness, and the fullness of their God-given identity.
Rick Alvarez
Rick Alvarez is a Kingdom strategist, revelatory teacher, and transformational coach whose life is marked by redemption, transformation, restoration, and the relentless pursuit of God’s call. Raised in a fatherless home, Rick encountered the presence of God for the first time in a small church in South Texas—drawn not by hype, but by the power of the Holy Spirit when scripture is rightly divided. It was in that place that the Lord began to awaken destiny in him, using even the challenges of becoming a teen father to draw him into sonship and surrender.
Now a grandfather and a spiritual father to many, Rick carries a deep passion for raising sons, healing wounds of identity, and equipping the Body for Kingdom assignment. His coaching and ministry are rooted in the belief that what was once broken can become a blueprint for breakthrough.
Before pastoring, Rick served the local church for over 15 years in worship and tech ministry, including over a decade as a live audio engineer and technical director. These years taught him how to steward both presence and excellence behind the scenes—lessons he now applies to coaching leaders, rebuilding families, and restoring broken foundations.
As senior-leader of Amazing Church Michigan alongside his wife, Pastor Vanessa, Rick shepherds a Five-Fold, Apostolic church that serves as a Kingdom embassy in West Michigan. Deliverance, inner healing, and discipleship are central to their ministry, and Rick’s gift to simplify deep truths and ask catalytic questions unlocks transformation in every environment—from the pulpit to the one-on-one coaching session.
Today, Rick mentors men, strengthens marriages, and raises up leaders to walk boldly in their calling. His mission is clear: to turn pain into purpose, restore generational order, and release mature sons and daughters into their Kingdom identity.
